How often should I replace my dirt bike tyres?
From motocross racing to offroad adventures, dirt bike tyres are designed to be durable — but even the highest-quality tyre will need replacing eventually. To get the best performance out of your dirt bike, we recommend replacing your tyres at around the 1-year mark. However, you may need to replace your tyres sooner if they’re showing signs of wear, especially for racing.
Your tyres might need replacing if they’re showing the following signs of wear and tear:
- Cracked or rounded knobs — Knobs or “knobbies” will start wearing down as soon as you hit the track, but frequent riding can cause them to lose their sharp edges quicker. Cracked, rounded or torn knobs have poor offroad grip, making them less effective on the track.
- Discolouration — Dirt bike tyres don’t need to look pretty to get the job done. But if your tyres are looking grey or faded, the knobs are more likely to crack or tear in the near future. If your tyres are discoloured, it’s best to replace them sooner rather than later.

How should I properly maintain my dirt bike?
