Write A ReviewThese heavy duty suspension pedestal / seat bases feature a hydraulic spring type shock absorber to provide a smoother and more comfortable ride.
The pressure of the shock absorber can be increased or decreased via the allen keys provided, to adjust the up/down movement.
The damping adjustment knob will change how quickly the piston shaft can compress into the damper body, and how quickly it returns after being compressed, so the suspension movement is either fast or slow. We recommend to keep this on the slower settings and to not leave on the very end of the fast or slow levels, to ensure less pressure is applied to the body and knob.
The height can be adjusted (in 20mm increments), simply remove the shock absorber from the top plate and base plate, and move it to the alternative pre-drilled positions.
Manufactured from marine grade anodised aluminium, the top is pre-drilled with our standard swivel and slide mount hole pattern, and is compatible with most of our helm boat seats.
Available in two sizes: 224-270mm or 320-360mm.
